TOO FACED VEGAN HAUL
One thing‘s for sure, if I visit a country that has SEPHORA stores, I am going to buy Too Faced makeup products*! Now that I‘m back from my Paris vacation I‘m sad that I didn‘t buy any MELTED liquid lipsticks, I did not realize that they are also vegan!! Anywho, here‘s what I bought (detailed reviews will follow soon)!
Absolutely Flawless Concealer in »Vanilla«
Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
La Crème Color Drenched Lipsticks in »Coral Fire« & »Bon Bon«
Primed & Poreless Pure Oil-free Primer
Primed & Poreless Priming Powder
*Too Faced is a cruelty free brand and has some vegan options. To the best of my knowledge, all products shown here are vegan. You can find a list of vegan products on their website, but I find it to be somewhat inconsistent (e.g. some vegan products such as the Sweethearts Blushes or the Melted Lipsticks are not listed), so I think it‘s best to check the individual product pages too, even though these also aren‘t always labeled accordingly. The La Crème lipsticks are vegan-friendly according to this post by Phyrra. TOO FACED VEGAN HAUL

I am a Vegan Cuts Brand Ambassador now!

Hello darlings,

I have big news! I am delighted to announce that I was chosen to be a brand ambassador for Vegan Cuts! I am glad there is a vegan company out there that I can fully trust and support, which is why I decided to endorse them on my blog from now on, e.g. with ad space.

This also means that I receive a small commission if you buy cool vegan stuff through links like this one

The commissions will be used to support this blog and to ensure I can keep up with post frequency and quality content.

Have a wonderful weekend my fellow vegan beauties <3

FOTD: PEACH & PINK
I‘m steppin‘ out of my comfort zone y‘all! This is really far from my usual makeup preferences, but why not change things up a bit in summer, amirite? Furthermore, this is an example on how to wear the wet‘n‘wild megalast lip color as a lip stain, which is a more muted and subtle look than classic red lips.
Here‘s a list of all products I used for this look.

THE PRODUCTS / DIE PRODUKTE

image

01 SkinAgain VanishA skincare product claiming to diminish the appearance of scars, cellulite and stretch marks. By the way, this is the full size which normally retails for a whopping 52 Dollars! First impression: the creme is very lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. I‘m curious if the product can keep up with its‘ claims and will test it thoroughly!

02 Tallulah Jane NYC Halone Eau de Perfume: Eau de parfum sample with fresh, zesty notes of citrus, ginger and spices. Not totally my cup of tea but Mr. Vegan Beauty Studio digs it!

image

03 Goddess Garden Organics SunnyBody Natural Sunscreen with SPF 30: Natural sunscreen without nano particles – very good! The sample size is great for taking it with you when you‘re on the go, especially at this time of the year.

image

04 Sevi Blue Yarrow Sea Salt Texturizer: My hair could actually use less texture, but Mister Vegan Beauty Studio promptly snagged it because he‘s always looking for the perfect texturizing spray for his fine hair. So far he‘s absolutely amazed with this one :D

05 Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Lash-Strengthening Mascara:

Ooh, a mascara sample, that‘s quite rare I think! Vegan mascara is the bane of my existence, and I‘m eager to try out the lash-strengthening mascara!

image

06 Gourmet Body Treats Raw Finishing PowderNow that‘s an intriguing packaging – doesn‘t resemble the typical organic cosmetic product, which is a step in the right direction if you ask me. Mainly consisting of arrowroot powder, this product is meant to extend coverage and staying power of mineral foundation.

THE VERDICT / FAZIT
Finally, an interesting and most importantly all vegan beauty box! It contains many indie brands, and I think there is a good balance between skincare and makeup products. This box has an impressive value, which isn‘t always the case with beauty subscriptions. For someone looking to test a wide range of vegan products this is certainly a great deal! International shipping to Germany went well, despite minor troubles at the beginning – if you live outside of North America you might have to be a little patient – but it‘s worth it!

Vegan Beauty News Roundup

hello sweeties, how was your weekend? I was super busy preparing and researching for french vegan cosmetics because I‘m going on a little trip to Paris on tuesday (◕‿◕✿) but without further ado, here are some interesting posts from other vegan blogs from last week:

VEGAN BEAUTY TOOLS (01): ECOTOOLS BRUSHES
hey lovelies! As promised ages ago, I‘m finally starting my series on vegan brushes and other beauty tools today! Basically I think that a good quality brush can really make a MAJOR difference in your makeup game, especially when using drugstore makeup. The good news: I think it‘s really easy to find awesome vegan alternatives – or, quite frankly – brushes that are even better than the ones with fur (yuck!!!).
I‘ll start with my small collection of EcoTools brushes. I found them at TK Maxx one day and bought a few to test them out! To the best of my knowledge, all EcoTools brushes are vegan, but apparently not all of the other products in their range. Here‘s what the company states about their cosmetic brushes: »They have incredibly soft synthetic bristles, sleek bamboo handles, recycled aluminum ferrules, and are 100% cruelty free.«
Another cool thing is that these brushes come in a little pouch that can be used to safely store the brushes e.g. while traveling. Now, on to the individual brushes!
tapered blush brushEcoTools‘ description: »This brush delivers the right amount of blush onto your cheeks creating a touch of color and definition. Sweep your favorite powder or cream blush in an upward motion over the apples of your cheeks, blending towards your hairline.«my two cents: I‘m so glad I found this! It’s my favorite blush brush at the moment, I use it pretty much every day. You can‘t really go wrong with this, it‘s just perfect for all kinds of blush. Love it!
domed bronzer blushEcoTools‘ description: »This brush creates a natural-looking, sun-kissed glow. The plush, round head provides a smooth, one-sweep application of bronzer. Apply where the sun would naturally hit to warm up your look.«my two cents: first off, OMGG it‘s soooo fluffy!!! It‘s a huuuuge and densely packed brush, mine occasionally sheds a hair or two though. I like using this with bronzer of course, and it does an amazing job, but it‘s also nice for loose/mineral powder.
full eyeshadow blushEcoTools‘ description: »This eye brush is essential for applying shadow base and can be used for shading, highlighting, and blending. Apply shadow to lid or crease and blend toward brow bone to enhance eye area.«
my two cents: this is my most recent purchase from EcoTools and I do quite like it! It works well with dry or creamy textures, which by the way is a big advantage of synthetic brushes!
the verdictI prefer EcoTools brushes a lot to comparable budget-friendly vegan brushes from German drugstores. You get a nice quality for a small budget, which is good if you want to start dabbling with brushes and figure out which types work best for you, or if you‘re a vegan beauty addict that hoards brushes looking to buy additional, backup brushes (so you don‘t need to use your high-end brushes daily) like I‘m known to do, heh.
where to get theseIn Germany you can get them at TK Maxx or online at Shades of Pink.Of course you can also order them from ecotools.com or iherb.com, and it seems like they are also available at Target in the US.
That concludes my first post about vegan beauty tools. Do you own any Ecotools brushes? What do you think about them? VEGAN BEAUTY TOOLS (01): ECOTOOLS BRUSHES
